Call for Abstracts!
As you may know, the 34th International Transplant Nurses Society (ITNS) Annual Symposium is scheduled to take place from September 25–27, 2026, in the vibrant city of Cleveland, Ohio. This premier global event gathers transplant nursing professionals to share cutting-edge research, explore emerging pharmacological treatments, and discuss technological advances in organ donation, ideas and best practices, and insights for expert care of transplant patients. Attendees will engage in innovative sessions designed to enhance patient care standards and promote evidence-based practices on an international scale.
We are pleased to invite you to submit an Abstract to be considered for sharing at the Symposium. This is a teach all learn all opportunity for attendees. As you think about your Abstracts submission, it will be helpful to include the following:
- Background/Purpose: Briefly state the problem, clinical gap, or rationale for the study/project.
- Methods/Approach: Detail the study design (e.g., qualitative, quantitative, QI), participants, setting, and analysis.
- Results: Present relevant findings with data, numbers, or statistics. Abstracts stating "results will be discussed later" are often rejected.
- Conclusions: Summarize findings and relate them back to the original question.
- Implications for Practice: Explain how the work impacts transplant nursing, quality of care, or patient safety.
Former Chief of Staff, James Bakers believed in the 5 "P's" theory - "Prior Preparation Prevents Poor Performance." Review our guide for submitting a successful Abstract.
Abstracts will be accepted until May 1, 2026 with the review process taking place in June. Notification OF acceptance will occur by the end of June, 2026. Conference registration will be open soon, as well so you can plan your travel to attend the Symposium in Cleveland.
