New in MedActionPlan Version 5.0

You have asked for enhancements to MedActionPlan, and we released Version 5.0 on January 15th, 2009 to better serve you and your patients.

• Route of Administration included for each medication (oral, injection, otic, etc.)
• Taper schedule—quickly create complex tapering schedules (even create default taper schedules)
• Export the schedule to your patient ( patient can set up reminders for taking pills and refills and keep schedule current)
• Flexible dosing options—includes fractional dosing (any dosage needed, with flexible times)
• Improved printing and schedule layout options (flexible layouts to meet multiple time needs)
• Anticoagulation schedule—prevent dosing errors (an important Joint Commission initiative)

You will continue to sign-in to MedActionPlan as you normally do—the format will look slightly different, but should be easy to maneuver.  As always, call with any questions or to set-up service learning sessions for your team.
