Education Special Interest Group (SIG)

The ITNS Education SIG supports the ITNS mission through assessment of membership needs and development of quality patient education materials. 

The Education SIG is divided into two categories:  patient education and member education.  Members interested in writing, editing, or producing patient education would work in the Patient Education group.  Members interested in helping plan symposiums, workshops, and other member education would be part of the Member Education group.  It is possible to do both if you can’t decide!!!

Current Projects

• Revision of the Heart Transplant Handbook
• Produce a Lung Transplant Handbook
• Development of the “Defining the High Risk Immunologic Patient”
• Development of Pediatric Fact sheet
• 2012 symposium planning
• ITNS 2012 Winter Workshop planning (need co-chairs)
• Developing Web-based teleconferences that membership can view for CEUs and CEPTCs
• Developing a library of CE presentations that members could use in their local chapters.
