Vision for Transplant Nursing:  Transplant Nursing is a specialized field and should be celebrated for leading the way on many initiatives that have impact on other patient populations.  Relationships built between patient and nurse lend itself to be a rewarding field of nursing.  Transplant Nursing is the glue that holds patients and doctors together and more importantly patients to the organs they receive.

I envision ITNS as the support system for all nurses caring for transplant patients that may need guidance in providing care, support in obtaining certification and mentoring in sharing best practices among centers.  ITNS should function as that collaborative network for nurses throughout the world to learn from each other and their patients.
